PRAYER ALERT: from the Howards Please continue to pray for my friend, Mindy Sauer, her husband Andy, her 4 yr old Ben who has the brain tumor, his twin brother Jack, and younger daughter, Megan. They have had one week of radiation and chemo for Ben and had hoped this would help prolong his life...and help the tumor to shrink, thus minimizing the negative effects. You can read below what Mindy wrote on Facebook this morning, and also check out the blog Mindy began to help everyone know how best to pray for them. The address is : bensauer.blogspot.com "My heart is so heavy today. I feel like I cannot swallow. My eyes burn from crying. After a week of what we had hoped was improving Ben's tumor, it looks as though the swelling has had the opposite effect. Severe headaches and vomiting brought us to the ER and then the ICU last night. Ben will have an MRI around noon to see if the 4mm swelling is because of the radiation or from tumor growth. The diagnosis feels terribly grim. If they decide, they may choose to do brain surgery again tomorrow to try and remove more of the aggressive tumor, but that would not come without risks. The tumor is inside areas that affect speech, movement and memory. My heart just aches for my son, who's crying to just go home. Amidst my tears, my heart keeps singing the song, "God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He loves in ways we cannot see, God will make a way for me, God will make a way." I don't even know that I've got all the words right. But I am praying this to be true. Please don't stop praying. Especially right now. We appreciate it more than you know."
